Black Yoga Society
Overview
In May 2020, Black Yoga Society was created from the struggle to find Black-owned yoga studios, healing spaces, and esoteric products. It started as a Facebook group that quickly gained over 300 members in a month. As the group kept going, it was apparent that growth was necessary in order to grow, what was meant to just be a community space, into a full brand.
With an already large community, it was up to Phlare to expand the brand and figure out how to turn this passion project into a business. The goal was to target Black male and female wellness enthusiasts in Canada, US, and beyond to grow the community, expand brand awareness, build a directory, and help with the budding yoga supplies section of the business. We began designing content and multi-channel advertising to reach our target market and goals.
